Internal Medicine Physician

We are seeking a full-time Primary Care Physician, Internal Medicine, or Family Practitioner to join our internal medicine team. Our practice offers primary care services to adults in the metro St. Louis, Missouri area. We are a personal/private owned medical practice and primarily see geriatric patients with managed Medicare plans. The practice is very well established and successful for over 25 years.Work Schedule: Monday - Friday - 900am – 5:00 pm - Physicians will be given liberty with the schedule and how they like their patients scheduled. Typically seeing 10-12 patients per day.On-Call Schedule: 1 week every 3 weeks with a very light telephone exchange consultation only. The telephone call volume maximum in the past has been less than 5 calls per week and mostly before 10 pm.Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for a specified patient population.Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions.Refers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate.Manage the daily operations of the medical office.Directs and coordinates the patient care activities of support staff as required.Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.As appropriate to the position, participates in specified health promotion, education and/or prevention programs.Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities RequiredLicensure: Missouri and Illinois licenses are needed – a plus if on hand but we can help with acquiring these.Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care.Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.Knowledge of community medical diagnostic and patient care services in area of medical expertise.Ability to supervise, advise, and train clinical professionals and/or students in area of expertise.Knowledge of current principles, methods and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment in area of expertise.Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.Ability to observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Paid Time Off: 25 days of paid time off per year (15 days of annual leave, 10 paid public holidays per year plus 5 days paid absence for CME + fees are employer pay).Recruitment Incentive (Sign-on Bonus): Available for qualified candidates and compensation to qualified candidates.Job Type: Full-timeSt. Louis, MO: Relocate before starting work (Required) #J-18808-Ljbffr
