This internship will focus on supporting automation and controls projects, with an emphasis on integrating plant equipment into the Ignition SCADA platform. This is a great opportunity for students interested in industrial automation, PLC programming, and real-world manufacturing systems.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with bringing plant equipment online and integrating it into the Ignition SCADA systemSupport PLC communication setup (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, etc.)Help develop and troubleshoot HMI/SCADA screens in IgnitionWork with Controls and E&I technicians to diagnose and resolve equipment communication issuesAssist in tagging, mapping, and organizing data points within SCADASupport the startup, testing, and commissioning of automated systemsDocument system configurations, changes, and standard processesPreferred QualificationsCurrently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or related fieldBasic understanding of PLCs (such as Allen-Bradley or Siemens)Familiarity with industrial networks and communication protocols is a plusExposure to SCADA systems (Ignition experience is a strong plus, but not required)Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn in a hands-on environmentAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamWhat You'll GainHands-on experience with Ignition SCADA development and integrationExposure to real-world manufacturing and automation systemsMentorship from experienced Controls and E&I professionalsExperience troubleshooting live production systemsOpportunity to contribute to impactful plant projectsWork EnvironmentIndustrial manufacturing settingA combination of field work and computer-based developmentDirect interaction with operations, maintenance, and engineering teamsSalary Description
