Our goal is to make sure all children have the social, emotional, and academic skills they need to learn, grow and realize their potential.About The RoleDirects and coordinates the Accounts Receivable and Credit and Collections functions including parents billing, collections. Audits physical inventory and bids process. Prepares payroll journal entries, cost allocations, relevant general ledger account analyses and supports the monthly financial reporting process.What You'll Be DoingCore responsibilities include but not limited to: Complete adjustments to monthly classroom attendance entry, process credit card payments, mail invoices and all past due notices, record all parents payment in the system, and provide annual tax letters to parents.Responsible for the timely completion of agency-wide attendance data entry by the specified department deadlines.Responsible for all activities in the accounts payables function.Review and approve vendor invoicesProcess Reimbursement for Daycare Home Childcare providersPrepares ad-hoc monthly reports for management review.Audit Agency physical inventory.Audit agency bids process.Audit California Department of Education purchase approval process.Prepare and reconcile payroll journal entries.Prepare fixed assets journal entries.All other duties as assigned by supervisor, Department Director, CFO, CEO and/or designee.Preferred qualificationsAA in Accounting and a minimum of two (2) years related accounting experience, or equivalentcombination of education and experience. BS in Accounting or Finance desired.General knowledge of accounting practices, including processing invoices for payment, journal entries,account reconciliation and analysis.
