Histology Technician Direct Hire Schedule:Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 3:30 PMWe are seeking a skilledHistology Technicianto join a hospital-based laboratory team. The ideal candidate will prepare histologic slides from tissue sections for microscopic examination and assist pathologists in diagnosis. This role involves frozen sections, paraffin mounts, preparations, and staining procedures. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and properly orient tissue samples in blocks and perform routine and special stains.Assess adequacy of surgical and cytology specimens and request additional samples when needed.Perform and document routine maintenance of lab instruments and quality control procedures.Follow all regulatory guidelines, including state and Joint Commission standards.Maintain professional working relationships with lab staff, nursing, and medical teams.Demonstrate reliability, adaptability, and a positive attitude while meeting productivity standards.Qualifications: Registered Histology Technician (ASCP or equivalent) or eligibleHigh School Diploma or equivalentMinimum 1 year of experience
