Principal Duties and Responsibilities Assess and set-up production infrastructure and production process flow set‑up. Manage NPI introduction process and production documentation (WO BOM validation, shop floor control system routing, production flow diagrams, work instructions, pack‑out instructions, and similar). Calculate task time and workforce requirements. Accountable for change‑order management: assess, document and communicate all production floor and/or customer‑driven changes, coordinate ECN phase cut‑in process, control ECN/ECO documentation, control manufacturing notice documentation, update all applicable work instructions. Responsible for production training in the areas of NPI, ongoing KPIs and ECNs. Provide detailed status reports to internal core team managers and, when applicable, to customers. Meet with production managers to ensure processes are followed and collaborate to adjust processes and make necessary improvements. Perform risk assessments to determine possible improvements that keep the facility running smoothly and efficiently. Review safety and quality standards to ensure the manufacturing environment meets guidelines. Engage with leadership on complex problems requiring data evaluation across functional areas, divisions, and/or customers. Guide project completion and conduct technical tasks or set specific technical strategy and direction for self and/or others. Education and Work Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in process engineering. Strong background in manufacturing processes, process improvement, and operational optimization. Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.). Physical ability to work on and around industrial equipment, including occasional lifting up to 50lb. Analytical and problem‑solving skills. Knowledge of manufacturing systems. Effective in time management and delegation. Skilled in debugging and root‑cause analysis. Job Complexity and Supervision Capable of managing multiple projects. Comfortable in a fast‑moving business and team environment. Attention to detail and highly motivated. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Working Conditions Fast‑paced work environment. Certain areas are considered loud; ear protection required. Physical demands: extensive use of computer equipment, frequent telephone activity, periods of extended sitting, walking and standing, bending, and occasional lifting up to 40lb.
