Glendale Avenue, Glendale, AZ 85031Start Date: ASAPSchedule: Full-Time, On-SiteCompensation Range: $48,331 - $54,571 (DOE)Position OverviewAcademies of Math and Science (AMS) is a network of high-performing K-8 public charter schools committed to academic excellence, college readiness, and equitable access to high-quality education for students in historically underserved communities.AMS is seeking a passionate and data-driven 7th Grade Math Teacher to deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction that fosters scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.AMS teachers are collaborative professionals who believe all scholars can achieve at high levels through structured instruction, strong classroom culture, and consistent use of data to inform practice.Key ResponsibilitiesInstruction & Student AchievementDeliver rigorous, standards-aligned science instruction aligned to AMS curriculum frameworks.Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students performing above and below grade level.Use formative and summative assessment data to guide instructional planning and interventions.Foster inquiry-based learning and hands-on scientific exploration.Classroom Culture & Student SupportEstablish and maintain a structured, positive, and high-expectations classroom environment.Implement PBIS and preventative intervention strategies.Support students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development.Collaboration & Professional GrowthParticipate in weekly professional development and professional learning communities.Collaborate with grade-level teams and instructional leaders to strengthen instructional practices.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the campus.Family EngagementCommunicate regularly with families regarding student progress.Lead parent-teacher conferences and maintain strong home-school partnerships.Minimum QualificationsCandidates must meet one of the following requirements:Bachelor's degree in Math or a related fieldORValid Arizona teaching certification in a relevant subject areaAdditionally, candidates must:Demonstrate strong classroom management skillsPass required background checks and obtain an IVP Fingerprint Clearance CardDemonstrate commitment to serving Title I and multilingual communitiesShow strong analytical skills and enthusiasm for data-driven instructionExhibit collaboration, professionalism, and initiative in a team-based environmentCompensation & BenefitsAMS offers a competitive compensation and benefits package designed to support professional growth and long-term career success.Salary Range: $48,331 - $54,571 (DOE)$2,000 Sign-On Bonus401(k) retirement plan with employer contributionsMedical, dental, life, and disability insuranceOptional vision coveragePerformance bonuses averaging $2,200 annually (up to $3,400)Relocation stipends up to $5,000Stipends for after-school tutoring and extracurricular leadershipOngoing professional development and instructional coaching
