CNC Mechanic - 1st Shift

As a CNC Mechanic on our 3rd shift team, you will play a crucial role in upholding our standards of precision and performance. *Job Summary:* As a CNC Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC machines to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency. Your expertise in CNC machinery will contribute directly to the success of our aerospace manufacturing operations. *Key Responsibilities:* * Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on CNC machines to ensure their proper functioning and longevity. * Monitor and inspect machines to identify any issues, malfunctions, or irregularities, and promptly address them to minimize downtime. * Collaborate with machine operators and production teams to understand and address CNC-related concerns. * Calibrate and adjust CNC machines to achieve accurate and precise machining outcomes. * Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and diagrams to aid in troubleshooting and repairs. * Use hand tools, measuring instruments, and specialized equipment to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues. * Document maintenance activities, repairs, and adjustments accurately and thoroughly. * Provide technical guidance and training to machine operators to enhance their understanding of CNC machine functions. * Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate maintenance schedules and ensure seamless production processes. * Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries during maintenance activities. * Be open to working overtime as required to meet production demands. *Qualifications and Requirements:* * High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in CNC maintenance or related field are preferred. * Proven experience as a CNC Mechanic or in a similar maintenance role, preferably within the aerospace or manufacturing industry. * In-depth knowledge of CNC machinery operations, maintenance, and repair techniques. * Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents, blueprints, and diagrams. * Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues. * Familiarity with various CNC control systems and programming languages. * Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. * Physical ability to perform manual tasks, stand, bend, lift, and work in a manufacturing environment. * Flexibility to work the 3rd shift (Sunday-Thursday, 9:00 PM - 5:30 AM) and to accommodate overtime when necessary. * Successful completion of background checks and drug tests as part of the hiring process.
