Business Development Manager (K-12) — Fanning HoweyFanning Howey designs innovative learning environments across the country through a collaborative team of architects, engineers, interior designers, and planners dedicated to shaping the future of education. We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to help expand our presence in the K-12 educational facilities market and strengthen strategic client relationships.About the Role / Ohio Market Focus:This role is specifically focused on business development efforts within the Indiana K-12 education market. The primary objective is to strengthen relationships, identify opportunities, and grow Fanning Howey’s presence within Indiana. Expansion into other markets may evolve in the future, but the current emphasis is exclusively on Indiana-based opportunities.This position plays a critical role in driving firm growth by identifying opportunities, building trusted partnerships, and positioning Fanning Howey for success in competitive pursuits. You will work closely with firm leadership, marketing professionals, and technical teams to cultivate prospects, guide pursuit strategies, and develop a strong pipeline aligned with our long-term business objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify, qualify, and strategically position opportunities in the K-12 education sectorBuild and maintain relationships with school districts, partners, and industry stakeholdersLead early pursuit positioning and capture planning before RFQ/RFP releaseMaintain a qualified opportunity pipeline aligned with revenue goalsSupport proposal development, interview preparation, and pursuit strategiesRepresent the firm at industry events, conferences, and community engagementsCollaborate closely with marketing and technical teams to advance pursuitsWhat We’re Looking ForBachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, construction, or related fieldMinimum 3 years of business development or marketing experience in A/E/C professional services, municipality, or business-to-business settings.Understanding of the publicly funded design/construction procurement processesStrong relationship-building, communication, and strategic thinking skillsFamiliarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Office toolsK-12 sector experience strongly preferredWhy Join Fanning Howey?Collaborative culture focused on meaningful, mission-driven workOpportunity to influence educational environments nationwideCompetitive compensation and benefits packageProfessional growth within a nationally recognized design firmInterested?Submit your resume (and optional supporting materials) to or apply via LinkedIn.
