Platform Engineer

Overview In this role you drive multi-discipline systems engineering across geospatial intelligence programs, partnering with government stakeholders to translate mission needs into capability solutions. You will guide architecture, integration, and life-cycle processes for large-scale, cloud-enabled SOA environments and AI/ML initiatives. Working with NGA, DIE, NSG, ASG, and IC programs, you shape strategic technical plans and oversee cross-functional teams. This position offers meaningful impact on national GEOINT and collaboration with senior and junior engineers. ResponsibilitiesLead requirements and solutions engineering across NSG, ASG, and federal agenciesPlan and analyze traceability of user requirements and architectures; optimize cloud service capabilities and workflowsAdvise government on design changes based on requirements and new technologyTranslate mission needs into system/capability requirements and solutionsSupport allocation of requirements to system components and program executionLead or support system integration activitiesParticipate in AoAs, CoAs, trade studies, and engineering assessmentsContribute to strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management, and interface designProvide expert guidance on vision, strategy, plans, and capability developmentOversee integration of AI/ML across NGA, DIE, and IC programsDemonstrate knowledge of current DIE, NSG/ASG, and NRO enterprisesCoordinate work of senior, mid, and junior contractor systems engineers Key requirementsMaster’s degree in Systems Engineering and 15+ years of related experience or Bachelor’s degree and 18+ years of related experienceExpert-level experience with DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES, or large System of Systems/Service Oriented Architecture/Cloud environmentsExperience with systems engineering lifecycleActive TS/SCI with ability to obtain CI polyleadershipadvisory communicationcross-functional collaborationModel Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)Cloud-based solutions and architecturesService Oriented Architecture/Cloud environments
