Cable Installation Technician

Overview: We are seeking a skilled Cable Installer to join our team. As a Cable Installer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of cables and wiring systems. This is a hands-on role that requires technical expertise in field service, fiber splicing, computer networking, and network installation. Duties: - Install and configure cable systems, including fiber optic cables, ethernet cables, and low voltage wiring - Perform cable terminations, splicing, and testing to ensure proper connectivity - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cable installations and network connections - Collaborate with team members to plan and execute cable installation projects - Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to complete installations and repairs - Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards during all installations - Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns Skills: - Proficiency in field service and cable installation techniques - Knowledge of fiber splicing procedures and equipment - Strong understanding of computer networking principles - Familiarity with ethernet standards and protocols - Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints - Experience with low voltage wiring installations - Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve cable-related issues - Effective communication skills to interact with clients and team members This is a full-time position with competitive pay.
