Opportunity Acres is a 56 acre working ranch that is also home to Independent Trails, a non-public middle school and high school for students with autism. We maintain a small class size and a high staff to student ratio. Opportunity Acres is looking for hardworking, honest, enthusiastic, reliable, energetic, and responsible individuals to work, recreate, and go on community outings with students diagnosed with developmental disabilities in a private school environment. Paraprofessional positions are available during the typical school day Monday through Friday. 8:30 am - 2:30 pm Locations: Shingle Springs Status: PT (30 hours per week) and FT if you participate in transportation routes. Education and/or Experience: Education equivalent to a High School Diploma. Physical Demands: Ability to run, stand, sit stoop, crawl, kneel, reach, push, and lift up to 50 pounds; normal visual, vocal & hearing acuity; use of a computer; ability to travel via automobile. Background Checks and/or Licensing: Must be at least 18 years old; criminal background check; reference checks; provide immunization records including a negative TB test; and education verification. Other Requirements: Must have reliable means of transportation, availability to work a minimum of 30-40 hours per week; and have access to a computer with knowledge of internet, e-mail and Microsoft Office applications.
