Apply via Dice today!DPP is seeking an RHEL Server Analyst for an opportunity in Columbia, SC.Work location: Partial onsite (Tues., Wed., Thurs., onsite and as needed) in Columbia, SCDuration: 12 monthsTerm: W2 positionWork Authorization: Candidates must be eligible to earn a low-level (Public Trust) US security clearance.Position summary: The Server Analyst will begin their day by performing various monitoring activities and health checks. These tasks include checking job status, reviewing operational dashboards, and checking/reviewing email notifications.The next phase of the day would be focused on incident response and problem management. These tasks would include incident ticket assignments, troubleshooting monitoring alerts and providing technical assistance to our customers.There will be some project work involvement, training/knowledge sharing events, system maintenance and remediation tasks and various continued improvement activities. Required technologies: Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)Enterprise infrastructure management experienceAnsibleScripting languages, such as Bash, Perl, and YAML Nice to have: AIXSolarisIT vulnerability managementSecurity and compliance Minimum required work experience:6 years of server or other job-related experience About the team:The Unix Operations team consists of a group of about 11 technicians. The group handles operational availability and various system changes.This team also performs various maintenance activities which would include HW/SW maintenance, security vulnerability management, and project support.The team is very collaborative and highly motivated.Core business hours are between 7am – 6pm. On-call, overtime (when approved) and some weekend work is possible. Required education/equivalencies: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree;OR, Associates degree in CS, IT, or other job-related degree plus 2 years of work-related experience;OR, 4 years job-related work experience (total 10 years without a degree) Interested?
