HVAC Maintenance Technician
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves performing maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on a variety of HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and related mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge, experience with service technician tasks, and the ability to interpret schematics and HVAC design plans. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse property maintenance projects, including air conditioning, boiler systems, plumbing, and equipment repair. A valid driver’s license is required for travel between sites. This full-time role is essential for ensuring the efficient operation and safety of our facilities.
Responsibilities
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, refrigeration units, boilers, and related mechanical equipment
Diagnose and repair issues with air conditioning systems, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), plumbing, and appliances
Read and interpret schematics, HVAC design plans, and technical manuals to facilitate repairs and installations
Perform equipment repair tasks such as welding, electrical troubleshooting with ohmmeters, and mechanical adjustments
Maintain detailed service records and documentation of all maintenance activities
Assist with field service operations including troubleshooting complex HVAC/R systems in various property settings
Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper handling of refrigerants and other hazardous materials
Support property maintenance efforts by performing general repairs as needed
Experience
Proven service technician experience in HVAC, refrigeration, or property maintenance fields
Construction background or experience working with HVAC/R systems preferred
Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, and mechanical knowledge essential for diagnostics and repairs
Experience with appliance repair, boiler systems, ammonia refrigeration, welding, and equipment repair highly desirable
Mechanical experience including working with plumbing systems or as a mechanic is advantageous
Knowledge of field service operations involving air conditioning units and refrigeration systems required
Valid driver’s license (PERSON driver) necessary for travel between job sites
Prior experience working with ohmmeters or similar electrical testing tools preferred
