We are seeking a hands-on accounting professional who can help build scalable financial operations while owning day-to-day accounting execution.Position SummaryThis role is responsible for managing AMP’s day-to-day accounting operations while helping improve financial visibility across projects, clients, and operational activities.The ideal candidate is:highly organizeddetail-orientedprocess-drivencomfortable operating independentlycapable of both executing accounting work and improving systems/processesThis is a hands-on role inside a lean organization. The successful candidate must be comfortable owning transactional accounting work while also helping develop more scalable operational accounting processes. This role reports directly to the CEO.Core ResponsibilitiesAccounting OperationsOwn daily accounting operations within QuickBooks OnlineManage and oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable workflowsMaintain accurate general ledger coding and account classificationsPerform bank account and credit card reconciliationsCoordinate payroll accounting entries and reconciliations with RipplingSupport annual audit and tax preparation processesMonth-End Close & Financial AccuracyManage monthly close process and supporting reconciliationsPrepare accruals, prepaid schedules, and adjusting journal entriesEnsure financial records are accurate, timely, and audit-readyIdentify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues proactivelyProject & Client Profitability TrackingHelp build and maintain project-based accounting and expense allocation structuresSupport visibility into project, campaign, and client profitabilityAssist with operational cost tracking across events, labor, and vendor expensesWork with leadership to improve financial reporting at the client and project levelProcess Improvement & Systems ManagementImprove accounting workflows, controls, and operational processesHelp streamline integrations between systems including:QuickBooks OnlineBill.comexpense management systemspayroll systemsAssist in developing scalable accounting procedures as the company growsIdentify opportunities to reduce manual work and improve reporting accuracyQualificationsRequired5+ years of accounting or operational accounting experienceStrong QuickBooks Online experienceExperience managing month-end close and reconciliationsStrong understanding of AP, AR, and general ledger accountingAdvanced Excel proficiencyAbility to operate independently in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsPreferredExperience in agency, marketing, events, franchising, hospitality, or project-based businessesExperience with project/job costing or client profitability reportingExperience working in founder-led or entrepreneurial companiesExperience with Bill.com, Expensify/expense systems, or operational accounting toolsExperience improving accounting processes or implementing workflow changesSuccess in This Role Looks LikeLeadership spends significantly less time on accounting administrationMonth-end close becomes more structured and predictableFinancial data becomes cleaner and more actionableProject and client profitability visibility improves over timeAccounting processes become more scalable as the business growsCompensationFlexible structure for exceptional candidatesWork EnvironmentIn office Atlanta-basedImportant NotesThis is not a purely clerical bookkeeping role, and it is not a high-level CFO position.We are seeking a hands-on accounting operator who can both execute day-to-day accounting responsibilities and help improve operational financial visibility inside a growing business.
