We strive understand our customers, market and product to maximize our results.Position SummaryProduction Supervisor is a key member of the Production Team, supporting the repair and overhaul of customer product, manufacturing of components, and continuous improvement processes. They will lead a portion of the operations team while working with other Supervisors to ensure that Safety, Quality, and Delivery are at the highest level while maintaining Cost/profitability. This is a high visibility role that must effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.Key Position ResponsibilitiesActs proactively supporting safety at all times Safety is ALWAYS first.Leads the production team, supporting a positive and effective team environment.Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives based on plant targets.The position is up tempo and very detail oriented.Organize / prioritize all parts and components on the shop floor and provide expected due dates (ESD).Analyze production activities to determine throughput and capacity.Oversee employee training and hiring needs to meet operations demand.Maintains traceability of part numbers, serial numbers and paperwork at all times.Manages and accountable for projects of varying scopes utilizing Lean principles for continuous improvement or the repair processes / capabilities.Communicates effectively with various departments to resolve issues.Analyzes technical documents and processes for continuous improvement.Maintains at good housekeeping throughout the plant.Provide clear, timely, responsiveness and communication.Self-motivated and goal-oriented team member.Available to work overtime as required.Performs other related duties as required.Support production with all required technical needs.Required Qualification / Education / And/or ExperienceBachelor’s degree in technical or engineering field or equivalent experience.Proven ability to successfully lead teams as a supervisor / manager.Must be able to obtain a FAA Repairman cert.Must be proficient with Microsoft office suite.Must be capable to write, read, and speak English at a college level.Must be proficient utilizing math at a college level.Must be experienced, report-writing skills, dynamic and creative problem solving, as well as professional and positive interpersonal, verbal, written, presentation skills and works well in a team environment.Ability to organize priorities, daily tasks and completed actions on time, in a fast-paced environment.Ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external customers.Must be able to pass DOT/FAA drug screening.Preferred Qualifications1-3 years or more aerospace MRO/OEM supervision experience. Experience with aircraft engine overhaul and repair.Proficient with Lean methodology for 6s, waste elimination, work flow, etc.Working knowledge of FAA regulations and their applications.Strong technical background due to experience in different mechanical and technical fields.Previous experience with airlines, MRO and Repair Station operation companies is a plus.Knowledge of Quantum ERP software.The ideal candidate will have a sound understanding of aircraft components with a technical knowledge of rigid tube components and their operating systems.Read and interpret blueprints and approved technical dataExperience working in a manufacturing facilityExperience using XRF handheld analyzerExperience working with hand toolsExperience working with measurement gagesMechanically inclined candidatesPhysical DemandsLight to moderate physical effort required.Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.Regularly required to sit or stand, reach, and move about the facilityTravel – 10%Reporting To This PositionNoneRelationshipsReports to Plant ManagerDaily interaction with Repair Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain and Account MaintenanceBeneficial Qualifications, Skills And ExperienceLean Six Sigma Green BeltRequirementsMust be a U.S. Citizen and be eligible to obtain a US PassportWe offer competitive compensation and excellent benefits including Medical, Dental, and company matched 401k plan.RBC Bearings is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/V/H
