Lead Technician - Lubbock

Data Projections has current openings to add experienced audio-visual technicians to our teams in Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio and Lubbock, Texas.Position SummaryPosition will complete technical installations of audio/visual systems including all projectors, calibrate audio/video systems, and implement (or program) Crestron and AMX control systems. The position requires the ability to troubleshoot audio, video, and control systems problems. Position will also oversee installation crews performing network installations, and/or other low voltage installations.Essential ResponsibilitiesPerform system diagnostics, trouble shooting, and report issues to Project ManagerManage onsite technicians and assist Project Manager with overall project needsProvide effective communication by supplying daily updates to project managersCommunicate with Project Manager on personnel performance issuesPerform quality control check on finished product/projectsAttend construction meetings in place of Project Managers/Designers when neededPost project walkthrough with client if neededInterface with external/internal clients and manufacture vendorsPre-installation site survey when neededFabricate racks in-house or onsite at client locationRig/mount of equipment and displaysInstallation of structured cabling to include pulling, terminating and testing cat5e/6, video, RGB, HDMI, DVI and audio cablesInstallation of all AV equipment to include: audio and video conferencing equipment, distributed audio, digital signage, sound reinforcement, control systems and all presentation systemsResponsible for signing out and securing inventory and non-inventory consumables per projectRestocking and inventory of van equipment/consumables dailyIdentify and solve issues that will impact the projectEnsure that project deliverables and milestones are met including close out documentation and punch list itemsResponsible for returning product to warehouse and inventory DOAFollow all safety guidelines of Company and client requirementsOther related duties as assignedEducation, Certification and/or ExperienceMinimum high school diploma or GED - Degree preferred and 4+ years experience with A/V installation including equipment rack fabrication, site preparation, termination and calibration of audio video equipment, and implementation of control system in corporate, education, government or home theater environment with minimum of 2 years experience as a lead technician, overseeing technical projects and/or crews, or any equivalent combination of related education and experience.CTS-I, CTS-D is a plus.
