Answer phones and perform daily activities.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Assists teachers, parents, students, and principals.Answers phones.Records daily student attendance.Works collaboratively with Principal's secretary.Performs other duties as assigned.Regular and consistent attendance.Must have knowledge of and comply with the policies and procedures contained in the Portage Public Schools Employee Handbook.Qualifications:High School diplomaOne-year previous office experienceHighly skilled in organization, interpersonal communications and customer serviceAbility to be flexible, manage time wisely, and complete job responsibilities with minimal instructionDemonstrate proficiency and ability to operate a computer and related software (i.e. Microsoft Office, Google Apps)Ability to maintain a high level of confidentialityAbility to interpret instructions given in written or oral formAbility to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writingAbility to define problems, collect, organize, and report dataAbility to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board policiesAbility to perform complex program and operational support dutiesAbility to speak and work effectively and positively with students, staff, and parentsPreferred Qualifications1-3 years office experienceAssociate DegreeThe above duties and responsibilities are intended to be representative of the nature of the work by this position.
