The Regulatory Compliance Engineer's responsibilities include ensuring that terminal tractors comply with various industry standards, legislation/regulations, safety requirements, and internal requirements. The person will produce and file reports, as needed, to regulatory authorities. The person will evaluate and assist in certifying terminal tractors to meet specific performance, safety, and environmental standards.The following job description represents a multi-skilled job classification of a Regulatory Compliance Engineer.What Are Your Key ResponsibilitiesRegulatory Compliance: Stay updated and inform management on local, national, and international regulations and standards related to terminal tractors, specifically in the USA and Canada.Help ensure that components and systems meet specified technical customer demands, product safety, legislations requirements and internal demands for TT products.Report to regulatory authorities. Certain national authorities require periodic reporting. Produce reports, maintain databases for reporting obligationsCoordinate or conduct thorough tests and inspections on terminal tractors to verify compliance with safety, emissions, and performance standards. Become part of our global network of 5,200 professionals across 120+ countries, where your work drives innovation, sustainability, and meaningful impact around the world.EducationWhat you bring to the role:Undergraduate degree in Engineering or Law or other similar disciplineExperience5+years experience preferred in the automotive vehicle (heavy duty trucks preferred) and/or mobile equipment industryExperience with all truck systems – Structural, Electrical, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, and PowertrainComfortable working with requirements management tools (e.g. Jama Connect, Jira/Confluence)Experience compiling data and writing reportsExperience performing or reviewing DVP&Rs, HARAs, FMEA.Demonstrated experience in applying ISO 26262 is a plus CompetenciesStrong understanding of industry standards and regulations related to heavy vehicles and mobile equipment.Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong attention to detail.Proficiency in using documentation tools and software (e.g., Google Suite, etc).Strong understanding of requirements engineering principles and methodologies.Excellent organisational and time management skills.Understanding of assembly processes and manufacturing processesFluent in English both spoken and writtenWORKING TOGETHER WITHWill be required to work closely with other TT RDE personnel, Project Managers, Business Development, Test & Validation, Sourcing, Production and Services groups worldwide.Other InformationWillingness to travel domestically and internationally will be requiredReady to elevate your career?
