Certified Medical AssistantThe Certified Medical Assistant performs clinical support procedures under the direct supervision of the Office Nurse or Physician. This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by this employee. He or she will be required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other duties requested by his or her supervisor. The Medical Assistant should reflect, through personal appearance and attitudes, the professional nature of the office. Cleanliness, neatness, ability to handle stressful situations in a calm manner, a caring nature, and genuine enjoyment of patients are required personal qualities of this position. Because of the nature of the work, i.e. care of patients, emotional stability is also required. Must be aware of the need for discretion and for keeping confidential all matters relating to the practice, its employees, and patients.Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Performs blood draws, injections, child immunizations, lab tests and any other procedures that are pertinent to the practice and within scope of MA certification.Assists physician in examinations, which may include taking blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration.Keeps rooms cleaned and stocked with necessary supplies.Takes and returns patient phone calls as directed by Physician.Gives instructions to patients as instructed by physician.Requisitions supplies as needed to maintain adequate stock.Assists with the maintenance of the medical record including completion of referral forms, lab slips, and other pertinent documentation as requested by the Physician.Assists patients getting to and from exam rooms, preparing for exam, as requested, and during procedures.Assists with any nursing procedure as directed by the Physician.Assists the patients as needed, getting to and from the exam rooms, prep patients for exam and treatments.Assists in other areas as requested by Manager and/or Clinical Coordinator, operating within the guideline of MA certification.Must work as a member of a team and be flexible.Benefits Offered:Medical Insurance (2 options)Flexible Spending Accounts (3 options)Dental Insurance (3 options)Vision InsuranceCompany Paid Life Insurance (2 times your annual salary)Optional Voluntary Supplement Employee Life Insurance (you can purchase up to 3 times your annual salary)Optional Voluntary Supplement Spouse Life Insurance (you can purchase up to $100,000 spouse life)Optional Voluntary Supplement Child Life Insurance (you can purchase up to $10,000 child life)Short Term DisabilityCompany Paid Long Term DisabilityAccident InsuranceCritical Illness InsuranceIdentity Theft Insurance403b Retirement PlanTuition reimbursement up to $4000 per fiscal year for full timeEducation:High School graduate or equivalent (i.e. GED) required.At least 2 years in a formal Medical Assistant curriculum, special training for Medical Assistants. - Required.Experience:At least 3 years of demonstrated relevant experience as a Medical Assistant in a medical setting. - Required.Required Licensure OR Certification:BLS Certification - Required.Must maintain certification as a Medical Assistant. - Required.State License Requirements:New Hampshire
