System Vulnerability Analyst
Overview
As a System Vulnerability Analyst, you support identifying vulnerabilities and attacks against mission-critical systems, analyzing attack techniques, and developing countermeasures. You will produce reports and briefings to inform security decisions, collaborating with threat analysts to assess risks. This role contributes to ANS’s mission of solving tough cybersecurity challenges and delivering secure, trusted solutions. You will work on complex risk assessments and security evaluations across hardware, software, and personnel domains. You’ll have opportunities to apply advanced analysis in a high-stakes, defense-oriented environment.

ResponsibilitiesIdentify vulnerabilities and cybersecurity threats to programs, functions, products, applications and systemsAnalyze attack techniques and develop operationally effective countermeasuresProduce formal and informal reports, briefings, and perspectives of actual and potential attacksCollaborate with threat analysts to conduct comprehensive threat assessmentsUse threat analysis to provide security guidance and develop mitigations to threats and vulnerabilitiesEnsure secure transmission by designing or evaluating encryption schemes or algorithms
Key requirementsActive TS/SCI clearance and PolygraphMinimum years of experience with corresponding degree as stated (4 years with Doctoral, 6 with Master’s, 8 with Bachelor, 10 with Associate)Degree must be in Computer Science or related fieldIdentify vulnerabilities and attacks affecting system operations and missionsOCONUS travel required; red team experience preferredZero Trust experience a plus (CNE/CNO, network infrastructure, hardening)Threat analysisCryptographic attack techniquesCryptography and encryption designSecurity evaluations using HUMINT, SIGINT, GEOINT, OSINTThreat modeling and countermeasuresRed team experience
