Facilities Manager- North

The Store Development team provides Muddies and customers with physical spaces that are convenient, efficient, effective, and inspiring. Our facilities team is responsible for the maintenance and improvement of our 60+ stores, our distribution center and our home office.
The Facilities Manager is responsible for maintaining safe, functional, and beautiful spaces across a region. Facilities Managers prioritize time in the field with tools in hand. Our team focuses on preventative maintenance; identifying and solving small issues before they become big problems. This is a highly collaborative role that has touchpoints across many Mud Bay teams.
Primary Objectives.
Preventative Maintenance. Ensures Mud Bay facilities are maintained proactively, catching issues early and often. Uses maintenance checklists, prioritizes time in facilities and solicits input from staff to assess needs.
Helpdesk Ticket Solutions. Utilizes Mud Bay’s ticketing system to track work orders, stay in touch with stakeholders and keep accurate records of work.
Maintains detailed records of maintenance needs and work performed. Schedules work and prioritizes time on an ongoing basis. Keeps workspace, vehicle, tools and materials organized and accessible.
Trades Work. Accomplishes a variety of tasks including but not limited to finish work, appliance repair, hardware installation, drywall repair, painting, minor plumbing and electrical, etc.
Business Partners. Hires and coordinates outside service providers for repairs and maintenance when appropriate. When appropriate, seeks multiple bids in order to optimize for quality and cost.
Proactively reaches out to teammates, collaborators and Store Muddies to share information. Communicates in a timely, respectful and clear manner.
On Call. Shares on-call responsibility on a rotating basis to ensure facilities emergencies are resolved and Muddies are supported.
Maintains a safe working environment for self and fellow Muddies. Models safe behavior and best practices slows down assessment and plans before acting.

Skilled in trades. Has 3+ years working in facilities maintenance or related trades and knowledge of the tools, materials and practices involved in construction and maintenance.

Job Details
Hours and location. This is a full-time, non-exempt role. Flexible schedule options are available. This position is based out of Seattle, WA with daily travel throughout Mud Bay’s Northern range and occasional travel across Mud Bay’s entire range. Administrative work can be completed from home. This role will require some overnight stays out of town; food and accommodation provided by Mud Bay. Work vehicle, fuel and tools provided by Mud Bay.
Primary Team. Facilities Managers report to the Senior Facilities Manager, and they do not have direct reports. This role is a member of the Store Development team, which runs Real Estate & Leasing, Store Design & Visual Merchandising and Construction & Facilities.
Compensation. Starting wage will be between $28.55 and $44.43 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
