IBC's focus is to be customer centric and strive to provide excellent customer experience.Time Type: Part timeThis is an in-office position.Department: 705 Teller OperationsJob Summary: The Universal Teller I position is responsible for conducting and processing various types of customer bank transactions while delivering the "IBC Experience". This includes providing prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service to customers while adhering to bank teller policy and procedure guidelines. This position also requires tellers to maintain a balanced cash drawer and become skilled in the ability to build customer relationship to identify products and services to meet the customer's banking needs.Job Description:Essential Job Functions:Process paying and receiving teller transactionsDeliver the IBC Experience by providing prompt, efficient and friendly customer serviceBalance and maintain assigned cash box and vault if applicable as well as perform end of day processMeet customer financial needs by promoting bank products and services through lobby, motor bank and outreach activitiesPerform successfully to the Sales Performance Goals and Referral ProgramsParticipate in product and service initiatives for bank growthAttend company meetingsProcess foreign currency transactionsFollow proper procedures to minimize errors and reduce lossesAssist in solving issues that pertain to customer transactionsAnswer all banking related inquiriesOperate and maintain all necessary teller equipmentAssist with branch procedures under dual control requirements including the branch opening/ closingAssist on-the-job training for their branch and other branchesFlexibility to report to work and assist other branchesPerform the duties of the sales functionsPerform other duties as assignedSkills:Good oral and written communication (Bilingual preferred for border markets).10 KeyFocus on Quality/ AccuracyTeamworkSensitivity to GuidelinesFocus on Sales/ ResultsService OrientedLearning StrategiesMathematicsCritical ThinkingProblem solverJudgement and sound decision-making abilitiesEducation & Experience:High school graduate or GED equivalent1 to 6 months cash handling preferred1 + years of experience interacting with people preferred
