Job SummaryWe are hiring an Audio Visual Technician I to support the installation of commercial AV systems across a variety of environments including corporate offices, retail spaces, schools, industrial facilities, and healthcare sites. This role is hands on and focuses on installing, mounting, terminating, and supporting AV infrastructure including displays, speakers, and cabling systems. This is a contract to hire opportunity with long term growth and exposure to industry leading AV technologies.Schedule and Project Environment7am start time40 to 45 hours per weekLocal branch based work across corporate, retail, school, industrial, and healthcare environmentsInstalling commercial AV systems in active job site environmentsJob Responsibilities Install projectors, TVs, speakers, amplifiers, and sound masking systemsMount hardware on various wall and ceiling types for displays, speakers, and microphonesInstall and terminate low voltage AV cabling including 18/2, coax, Cat5e, and Cat6Terminate RG6, HD-SDI, SDI, XLR, and RCA connectionsRoute and dress cable from IT closets to end device locations including racks, TVs, and projectorsInstall cable pathways including J hooks and D ringsPerform cable management including dressing and labelingRead and interpret blueprints and installation drawingsFollow written and verbal instructions from leadership and project teamsMaintain a clean and safe job site in compliance with OSHA standardsRequired Experience 1 to 3 years of commercial AV installation experienceExperience working in commercial AV environments including corporate, retail, education, industrial, or healthcare settingsFamiliarity with AV hardware including speakers, microphones, amplifiers, projectors, racks, and displaysRequired Technology and Systems Experience Experience with AV control and DSP platforms including Crestron, Extron, QSC Q-SYS, and BiampExperience working with Dante audio networkingExposure to AV system integration and configuration is requiredTools and Equipment Basic hand tools including multi bit screwdriver, tape measure, snips, needle nose pliers, channel locksRG6 cable stripper, coax cable crimper, punch down toolFlashlight, tool pouch, and appropriate work bootsPPE including gloves and job site safety gearAdditional Requirements High School Diploma or GEDOSHA 10 preferredAbility to work on ladders and scissor liftsComfortable working in confined spacesAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 75 poundsAbility to stand and work on feet for full shifts
