Made Possible.Role SummaryThe Manufacturing Associate Manager (Front Line Leader) manages a crew ensuring its effective operation by coordinating and directing employees, assigning tasks, coordinating the flow of work, overseeing completion of work, and monitoring performance of subordinates. This role provides leadership, training, and development of workforce; motivation; communication; participates in continuous improvement activities as part of the site management team and ensures site strategy and Company policies are delivered and followed to maintain a positive work culture and employee engagement.Duties & Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following):Supervise, direct, and lead the day-to-day activities of team within assigned area to ensure safe and quality production and meet identified goalsMaintain a safe and healthy work environment by following, implementing, and enforcing Company safety standards and procedures, housekeeping standards, and 5S/lean manufacturing programs by ensuring goals are met within the department.Meet productivity targets by establishing clear goals for team and ensure proper equipment careEnhance employee engagement by providing leadership and direction to the shift. This includes listening and responding to employee issues, taking decisive actions, recognizing excellent performance, and following through with accountability.Meet quality/waste goals by ensuring all direct reports are properly trained on their equipment, following proper procedures, performing requisite inspections, and following up on suggested improvements.Lead or assist in the investigation of all injuries, accidents, and near-miss incidents in assigned areaAddresses routine personnel issues including training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining subordinatesUtilize sound employee relation skills to accomplish goals while maintaining employee accountability, positive team morale, employee involvement, and teamworkCoach, evaluate performance, and develop work group to improve their performanceIdentify operation issues and lead improvement plans in production processes, shift schedules, overtime levels, training, etc., to improve operation efficiencyEffectively communicate to all levels of the organization on key issuesVerifies all operator rounds and other required documentation are accurately completedOther duties as assignedRequired CharacteristicsThree (3) years of leadership experience in manufacturing, preferrably in the Pulp & Paper IndustryExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities with deadlines in a fast paced and dynamic environmentStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsDemonstrated leadership and problem-solving skillsProficient in utilizing Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and OutlookProven experience with reliability and continuous improvement principles and techniquesSolid oral and written communication skillsWillingness to work a rotating shift schedule and overtime as requiredAvailable to work on holiday, off-days, and weekendsMust be able to pass a background check, drug screening and reference checkLegally authorized to work in the United StatesDesired CharacteristicsBS Degree in business disciplineExperienced in the Pulp & Paper manufacturing industryExperience within a unionized environmentWorking knowledge of SAPKnowledge Lean Manufacturing or Six SigmaPay Range: $96,800 - $129,000Graphic Packaging is an equal opportunity employer and abides by all applicable federal, state provincial and local laws with respect to the recruitment and hiring process.
