Manager, Retail Merchandise
Retail Store ManagerThe Retail Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the team store and merchandise sales during games, events, and select non-game day hours. This role will focus on store execution, staff supervision, customer service, merchandising presentation, inventory organization, and cash handling procedures. All merchandise buying, vendor relationships, and product selection will be managed by the Regional Merchandise Director. This position will partner closely with that role to ensure store readiness, product organization, and strong in-venue execution. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys retail leadership, sports, and creating a positive fan shopping experience in a fast-paced environment.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Store Operations Oversee daily operations of the team store during games, events, and assigned business hoursOpen and close retail locations in accordance with established proceduresEnsure store cleanliness, organization, and visual presentation standards are maintainedExecute product displays, promotions, and merchandising plans provided by leadershipMonitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs promptlyStaff Leadership Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising part-time retail associatesLead staff during games and peak traffic periodsFoster a positive, energetic, and customer-focused team environmentCoach employees on sales techniques, guest service, and operational expectationsSales & Guest Experience Deliver excellent customer service and resolve guest concerns professionallySupport sales goals through strong execution, upselling, and engaging fan interactionsEnsure accurate cash handling, POS transactions, and end-of-shift reconciliationsMonitor and respond to email inquiries for Team StoreInventory & Coordination Receive, organize, and stock incoming merchandise shipmentsConduct periodic inventory counts and maintain organized stockroom areasCommunicate with the Regional Merchandise Director regarding top sellers, low stock, and operational needsPick, pack, and ship eCommerce ordersQualifications:Prior retail supervisory or management experience preferredStrong customer service and communication skillsAbility to lead part-time staff in a fast-paced environmentOrganized, dependable, and detail-orientedComfortable handling cash, POS systems, and daily reconciliationsAbility to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periodsAvailability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and game days during baseball seasonPreferred BackgroundSports, entertainment, or venue retail experienceExperience managing hourly employeesPassion for baseball and fan engagementCompensation:Hourly rate commensurate with experience.Why Join Us?This role offers the opportunity to be part of a historic Minor League Baseball franchise while helping create memorable fan experiences through retail and merchandise operations.
