Senior Full Stack Engineer
Position Description
We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our dynamic technology team. You'll play a critical role in designing, developing, and deploying enterprise-grade web applications and backend services that power our digital transformation initiatives. This is a hands-on engineering role with opportunities to lead, mentor, and shape the future of our platform architecture.
This position can be performed from Westlake, TX or Lafayette, LA in a hybrid working model.
Future Duties and Responsibilities
Design and develop scalable web applications using Angular, TypeScript, and Java (Spring/Spring Boot)
Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices for seamless data exchange across platforms
Collaborate in Agile Scrum teams to deliver high-quality software in iterative cycles
Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket, and Azure DevOps
Containerize and orchestrate applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
Develop automated test suites using JUnit, Selenium, Karma, Jasmine, Cucumber, and Serenity
Leverage AWS services (EC2, EKS, Lambda, DynamoDB) for cloud-native application deployment
Utilize Apache Kafka for distributed event streaming and real-time data processing
Maintain code quality and collaboration through GitHub and pull-request workflows
Apply GitHub Copilot or similar AI tools to accelerate development and improve code quality
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning
Required Qualifications
10-13 years of full-stack development experience in enterprise environments
Strong proficiency in Angular, TypeScript, Java, and Spring Boot
Experience with web services (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML) and API integration
Familiarity with Node.js for backend development and API orchestration
Exposure to AWS Lambda and DynamoDB for serverless and NoSQL architecture
Working knowledge of PostgreSQL for relational data modeling and queries
Proven ability to learn large software systems quickly and contribute end-to-end
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
Preferred Skills
Experience with OpenShift, ROSA, or other Kubernetes platforms
Knowledge of security best practices (RBAC, TLS, Network Policies, etc.)
Familiarity with monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Dynatrace, or EFK stack
Passion for visual storytelling and executive messaging in technical presentations
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
Compensation
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $80,600.00 – $194,000.00.
