They will embody the Burberry values and contribute to a culture of innovation and collaboration. The role drives planning accuracy, commercial insight, and in season agility to ensure that the Americas region optimises inventory performance and delivers strong financial outcomes.They will be responsible for:Creating, updating and managing the Rolling Open to Buy and Collection Open to Buy processAligning, partnering and collaborating with the Merchandising, Allocation, Regional Finance and Central Planning teams on Open to Buy, product lifecycle, fiscal risks, opportunities, markdown and inventory managementCommercial insights in driving in-season decisions to maximise inventory, drive sales, and deliver sell through and margin targetsDriving detailed Carry Forward sales and inventory forecasts and input to Replenishment forecasts, to maintain appropriate inventory levels and availabilityRESPONSIBILITIESOwn and manage the Rolling Open to Buy by season by product hierarchy level (Full Price/Markdown), ensuring accurate forecastingDevelop and manage the Collection Open to Buy for sales and inventory (New, Carry Forward, and Replenishment) ahead of each CollectionCommunicate the Collection and Rolling Open to Buys to Regional and Central teamsSupport in the review of Collection buys with Merchandising, focusing on key investments and ensuring buys are within agreed budgets and achieve key KPIsResponsible for reporting and monitoring trade performance, hindsighting, and highlighting opportunities and risks to sales and inventory targets along with relevant action planPropose and execute actions to drive the business and manage inventory alongside Merchandising, including but not limited to top-up orders, cancellations, stock rebalance, drops to Outlet, adjustments to ranging and min/max, etcResponsible for the line level monthly forecast of sales and inventory for Carry Forward products (by style, by size, by country) to ensure product availability and appropriate stock levels across sub-regionsInput to monthly forecast of sales and inventory for Replenishment products, managed by CentralWork with Supply Chain to place and expedite orders where necessary, and communicate any gaps or opportunities in stock to cross-functional partnersAnalyse and validate regional markdown plans across categoriesPERSONAL PROFILEBachelor's Degree or equivalent training and experience5+ years' experience, with at least 2 years in regional planning roleDemonstrated experience across all activities of commercial planning, including Open to Buy, reforecasting and inventory managementAdaptable, proactive, commercially curious, and able to navigate ambiguityWell-developed communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with cross-functional teamsExceptional attention to detail and analytical skillsProficiency with planning systems preferredDemonstrates Burberry's Values:Protect: Works in line to support brands message and image in the fieldExplore: Seeks and incorporates new and modern practices to drive resultsInspire: Leads with heart and mind, connecting well with all colleagues in the businessMEASURES OF SUCCESSDivisional Full price and Net sales, AUR, Full Price sell through, Initial and Net Margins aligned to targetsDivisional Rolling and Collection Open to Buy managementSell through and Weeks of Cover (WOC)CONNECTING WITH OTHERS* This role will work closely with Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Central Outlet team, Central Planning team, Regional Planning teams, Merch Planning Operations, Supply Chain, Finance and Regional Commercial teamsFOOTERBurberry is an Equal Opportunities Employer and as such, treats all applications equally and recruits purely on the basis of skills and experience.Posting Notes: USA || New York (US-NY) || New York || Planning || NO DEPT - FMPT9041 || n/a ||Expected base salary for the role will generally be between $90,000.00 and $105,000.00 per year at the commencement of employment.
