Our engaged team leads with integrity, and unites with purpose, driving toward innovation and continuous improvement every day.POSITION DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Tool & Die Machinist is responsible for the fabrication, or repair, of various components using traditional, non-CNC machining equipment. The ideal candidate is comfortable working autonomously, while leaning into their strong problem-solving skills performing progressive die maintenance and troubleshooting. The Tool & Die Machinist thrives in a highly technical environment, while always operating with a safety-first mindset, and is motivated to produce product with the highest quality standards to satisfy our growing customer base.ResponsibilitiesFabricate and repair components using standard machining industry principles and practicesWork cross-functionally to help support other production stations and resolve tooling issues as neededInterpret and work from blueprints, sketches, samples and other reference materials to fabricate componentsSafely set-up, calibrate and operate manual machining equipment, including: Milling machines, Lathes, Surface Grinders and ID/OD GrindersCommunicate quality inconsistencies with Operations Leadership to identify a proper solutionPerform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures, while maintaining a clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsQUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma, or equivalent5+ years of Tool & Die Machining experience OR 2+ years of formal training in Tool & Die Technology5+ years’ experience with progressive stamping diesDemonstrated ability to safely set-up, calibrate and operate manual machining equipmentAbility to lift, push & pull up to 50 lbsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experience having worked in a bearings and power transmission industryOUR EMPLOYEE VALUE PROPOSITION:Market competitive benefits package, including company-sponsored health coverage, life insurance, 401(k) plan with company match, paid paternal leave and paid time offWork in a collaborative environment with passionate and innovative teammates$85 annual bonus applied toward mandatory steel toe bootsSolve is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination or harassment of any kind.
