Kitchen Manager

DescriptionThe Kitchen Manager leads back-of-house operations with a focus on food quality, cleanliness, team development, and guest satisfaction. This role ensures execution of Crazy Good Mexican FoodTM while maintaining high standards in food preparation, inventory, safety, and sanitation.Responsibilities include managing BOH scheduling, food and supply ordering, inventory control, and cost of goods management. The Kitchen Manager trains and coaches staff, ensures a clean and organized kitchen, and leads successful shifts using restaurant systems and tools. This role plays a key part in upholding compliance with health, safety, and food service regulations while helping meet restaurant profitability goals.All Kitchen Managers complete training at the Jalapeño Tree in Tyler, TX before transitioning to their assigned location.RequirementsExperience & Qualifications:Minimum 2 years of experience as a Kitchen Manager or successful Assistant Manager in a full-service restaurantHigh school diploma or GED preferredMust be at least 18 years oldValid driver's licenseKnowledge of food and beverage laws and health regulationsSkills & Competencies:Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skillsProven ability to manage inventory, food safety, and BOH labor schedulesProficiency in POS and restaurant systems (Aloha, Microsoft Office, Compeat)Detail-oriented with strong time management and cost control awarenessAbility to train and develop a high-performing BOH teamCommitted to maintaining a clean, safe, and respectful workplacePhysical Requirements:Able to stand for prolonged periods, move quickly, bend, and lift up to 50 lbsFrequent exposure to hot and cold environmentsFrequent handwashing and repetitive motionsAbility to read, write, and operate computer and phone systemsMust be available for 50-55 hours per week, including holidays and weekendsDelegated Responsibilities (from GM):Oversee BOH hiring, terminations, and payroll-related changesAssist with employee discipline and developmentImplement new menus, recipes, and promotionsBenefits:Health, dental, and vision insurancePaid vacation (1 week after 6 months)401(k) Employee Retirement PlanCompetitive salary and rich bonus structureCareer advancement opportunities
