Electrical & Instrumentation Technician (E&I)Thacker Pass, NV$35 to $50 per hour + Annual BonusIf you’re a hands-on Electrical & Instrumentation Technician who wants to be part of building a major new industrial operation from the ground up, this is a strong one to look at.I’m working with a North American critical minerals business developing one of the largest lithium resources in the world at Thacker Pass. This is a site-based role supporting a large-scale mining and processing operation, where reliability, safety, and uptime are absolutely critical.You’ll be joining a maintenance team that plays a key role in keeping complex electrical, control, and instrumentation systems running safely and efficiently in a heavy industrial environment.What you’ll be doing:Maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical power, control, and instrumentation systems across siteWorking on motors, MCCs, switchgear, transformers, VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systemsPerforming preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance activitiesCarrying out loop checks, calibration, testing, and commissioning supportReading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control logicSupporting system upgrades, reliability improvements, and plant optimisation initiativesEnsuring all work is completed safely in line with MSHA/OSHA and site standardsCompleting accurate maintenance documentation via CMMS systemsWhat they’re looking for:Qualified Journeyman Electrician / Electrical Technician or equivalent experience3–5+ years’ experience in mining, heavy industry, chemicals, or process environmentsStrong troubleshooting skills across electrical and instrumentation systemsComfortable working with electrical drawings and control system documentationSolid understanding of industrial safety standards and LOTO proceduresExperience working in field-based or plant environmentsNice to have:Exposure to PLCs, SCADA, or automation systemsInstrument calibration or commissioning experienceExperience in large-scale industrial start-up or expansion projects
