Radiologic Technologist
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, and providing high-quality images for interpretation by physicians. This role requires a strong understanding of various imaging modalities and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Perform a variety of imaging procedures including X-rays, CT scans, and PET scans.
Conduct mammography exams with precision and care.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals in urgent care settings and Level I Trauma Centers to provide timely imaging services.
Maintain aseptic technique during procedures to ensure patient safety.
Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
Ensure the proper functioning of imaging equipment and report any malfunctions.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of imaging results.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
Experience
A minimum of an associate degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field is required.
Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is preferred.
Experience in emergency medicine or nuclear medicine is a plus.
Knowledge of human physiology as it relates to radiologic procedures is essential.
Familiarity with advanced imaging techniques such as CT and PET scans will be beneficial.
Previous experience working in a clinical setting, particularly in trauma or urgent care environments, is highly desirable.
