- The Youth Development Teacher works directly with youth in a Community Care Licensed before and/or after-school setting at either a YMCA facility or a local elementary school site.
- By exemplifying and teaching skills through both formal and informal lessons, in a safe and supportive environment, the Youth Development Teacher leads youth in becoming great citizens.
- Under the supervision of the Site Supervisor, the Youth Development Teacher leads the program management and supervision of a group of children 5-12 years of age, along with the planning, implementation, and facilitation of activities and events for participants.
