- The Wilkes Center for Climate Science & Policy is seeking a talented web developer to design, develop and construct web tools and applications related to ongoing wildfire and climate research at the University of Utah. These tools will be designed to enable decision makers to access, analyze and interpret data to make decisions at regional and national scales.
- An ideal candidate would have front-end and back end experience with geospatial web apps and/or experience working with large geospatial datasets.
- Further, successful applicants for this position will have experience building interactive mapping using tools such as Openlayers/Leaflet/MapBox/etc and maintaining large, complex datasets in cloud computing environments.
- This is a 1-year full-time salaried position with annual/sick leave and health and retirement benefits at the University of Utah. Should funding allow, this position may be eligible for extension beyond the one-year timeline, contingent on successful execution of project deliverables and performance evaluation.
