- Knowledge of: Federal, state, and county grant regulations and procedures; health district policies and procedures; count and state procurement policies and procedures; basic receiving and distribution methods; inventory control systems and procedures; safety hazards and precautions associated with a warehouse operation; principles and practices of safe motor vehicle operations and basic maintenance; file maintenance procedures and practices; office practices and procedures.
- Ability to: Perform numerous essential record keeping duties to organize and ensure accuracy of warehouse shipping, receiving and inventory databases; identify materials, parts, and supplies from visual inspection and verbal description; occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; follow written and verbal instructions; communicate effectively and in writing; perform the essential functions of the position with or without a reasonable amount of accommodation.
- The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands Lift and carry boxes, crates, bags, parcel packages, and supplies up to 50 lbs.
- work is performed in a warehouse, storage containers, outdoors, and an office environment; operate warehouse equipment such as rolling carts, two-wheeled dollies, and pallet jacks; operate a motor vehicle and travel to/from various locations; perform manual work that requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching arms above the head, and climbing elevations; moderate exposure to dust, noise, and temperature extremes.
