- Direct daily operations of County Vegetation Management Division by maintaining GIS data, controlling invasive and non-native plant species, communicating with landowners and various federal and state agencies, enforcing weed laws, and educating the public.
- Ensures that noxious weed management efforts are concurrent with the latest recommendations and best management practices from the Environmental Protection Agency and Colorado Department of Agriculture.
- Develops and disseminates educational information to landowners and the general public in conjunction with other county government departments in regards to appropriate land management and stewardship efforts.
- Collaborates with other organizations to offer annual Pesticide Applicator Trainings and other workshops.
- Collaborates with the Palisade Insectary under the Colorado Department of Agriculture to offer a county-wide biocontrol program to landowners with certain noxious weed infestations.
