- Program consists of education and rotations within a clinic (Urgent Care or Express Care).
- Clinic rotations will begin with observation and progress to patient contact, registration, assessment, and patient care under the direction of an employed Urgent Care Technician, Senior, Educator or Clinical Leader.
- Successfully obtains the following certifications: Medical Assistant, CPR, DATIA Certified Professional Collector, NIOSH Spirometry, and CAOHC Occupational Hearing Conservation.
- Performs direct patient care and assists with a variety of orthopedic and wound related care including clean and dress wounds, apply and remove sutures/staples, splinting and application of prefabricated durable medical equipment.
- Instruct patient on care for their injury and use of durable medical equipment.
