- Patient Population (Diagnoses): Primarily post op cardiac surgery patients (CABG/Valve/ VAD/Transplant (heart and lungs)/aneurysms/TAVRs∯*∯ Accept preop patients and readmitAge Range: 20 years and upSpecial Equipment: (For example: IV Pumps: Type; Invasive Monitoring; Monitors: Type; ECMO; Ventilators: Type; ABG: Type)All patients are on a tele box RNs are responsible for monitoring own tele no central tele monitor.
- Alaris IV pumps, (no vents), Medtronic external pacemakers.
- Vital signs machine, glucometer, SCDs, bladder scanner, wound vacs, IV pumps, pulse oximeters, chest tubes, tube feeding pumps (Kangaroo), and oxygen delivery devices including CPAP and BiPAP. RNs are responsible for nebulizer treatment administration.
