- Responsibilities What you'll be challenged to do: TranSystems is seeking a transportation engineer to support a variety of design and planning projects in the Midwest region.
- The primary types of projects the candidate will be assigned include MOT, signing and pavement marking design, traffic signal and lighting design, ITS and TSMO design along with planning projects related to traffic impact studies, safety analysis, capacity analysis, and simulation modeling.
- Oversees and prepares plans, specifications, quantities and cost estimates for the design of traffic engineering components of projects (including but not limited to, intersection geometry, signing and pavement markings, traffic signals, signal interconnect, roadway lighting, ITS, construction sequencing and work zone traffic control).
- Oversees and prepares MOT, lighting, ITS, traffic control & signal design plans, traffic safety studies, traffic impact studies, and planning studies.
- Familiar with ODOT MOT Standard Construction Drawings, Plan Insert Sheets, Cost Estimating, Bid Histories, CM&S, Road User Cost and Queue Analysis.
