- JOB DESCRIPTION Gilbert Unified School District Purpose Statement: The job of Transportation Dispatcher is done for the purpose/s of coordinating the assignment of drivers and vehicles; assisting drivers with route changes; responding to questions of parents and school administration and supporting student transportation needs
- for the purpose of maintaining busing activities and advising drivers of how to resolve a variety of situations.
- Responds to inquiries from a variety of sources (e.g., students, parents, police department, teachers, etc.)
- Schedules routes, workload, special trips, driver training activities, or special situations (e.g., vehicle breakdown, accident, etc.)
- Drives a district Van or Activity bus when necessary to pick up and deliver students and or employees.
