- The full performance class works under immediate supervision and requires some knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting techniques; building codes, safety practices and procedures, wood finishing; reading and interpreting blue prints; use of hand and electric tools; operating small machinery, bobcat and forklift; concrete and block work; mathematics to perform semi-skilled building maintenance duties to assist Trades Specialists.
- Performs a variety of preventative maintenance, repair, demolition, renovation, and winterization of County buildings.
- e.g. basic carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and masonry).
- Finishes and refinishes wood furniture and products, stains and varnishes wood products; prepares walls for plastering and stucco; hang, patch and repair drywall; installs wallboards; paints fixtures, rooms and buildings.
- Assists with complex projects and installations (e.g. building cabinets and shelving; installing countertops, duct work, HVAC units and electrical systems.
