- Job Summary: Work closely with the Tooling Manager to provide detailed tooling planning, scheduling, and cost estimating to maximize availability and reliability of tool room equipment while achieving budgeted targets, ensuring efficient utilization of resources, and taking into account all environmental, health, and safety considerations.
- Required Education and Experience: Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, five years of automotive manufacturing experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience Must have basic knowledge of Tooling Management systems.
- Must have a strong knowledge of Tool Room Best Practices Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), with the ability to develop and maintain reports and graphs, and inventory management system (CMS)Experience with computerized maintenance management systems is preferred.
- Monitor work progress on individual work orders and influence scheduling changes with the Tooling Department.
- Controls MRO Tooling and Equipment spare parts inventoryEnsure continuous improvements at all levels and in all processes within the scope of responsibility.
