- Selected candidate will join a group that is responsible for supporting a wide range of electrical systems and equipment in the following areas: reactor plant instrumentation and control systems, steam and electric plant systems, auxiliary electrical/electronic systems, power distribution equipment and systems, and advanced power electronics.
- This position supports all fleet submarines, including Los Angeles, Ohio, Seawolf and Virginia classes; training platforms including S5W/S6G Moored Training Ships at NPTU Charleston, SC and the S8G Prototype at Kesselring, NY; and Multi Mission Platform (MMP)/Watchtower.
- Candidates will also be required to evaluate and provide technical resolution to system and component related questions and problems from Naval Shipyards, Navy forces afloat, land based prototypes, reactor plant prime contractors and NAVSEA engineering and program offices.
- Selected candidates will be expected to effectively communicate within the organization as well as with NAVSEA, prime contractors, Navy shipyards and equipment vendors.
- D457 is located in the off-shipyard Kings Highway office in Groton.
