- We are particularly interested in candidates working in the following areas related to microelectronics design: Microelectronics design for complex systems, heterogeneous integrated devices, artificial intelligence, multimodal sensing, high-performance computing, radiation-tolerant systems, extreme environments, and biomedical and nanotechnological applications.
- Experimental chemistry that interfaces with microelectronics, including but not limited to spintronics, optoelectronics, nanophotonics, imaging and spectroscopic probes of correlated electrons in quantum materials, and energy-matter interactions.
- Experimental physics that interfaces with microelectronics, including but not limited to relevant activities, such as integrated circuit design, system-on-chip, heterogenous computing, radiation tolerance, artificial intelligence and machine learning, as applied in condensed matter physics, quantum information, nuclear physics, particle physics and astrophysics.
- Candidates who conduct research that complements our activities in establishing the (CREATE), and ongoing efforts with the Department of Defense, the National Science Foundation, and industry, will be given preference.
- Responsibilities: Candidates are expected to sustain an active, externally funded research program, to engage undergraduate and graduate students through effective teaching, and to participate in service to the university and the profession.
