- ECSU offers the only four year Aviation Science degree program in the State of North Carolina and provides specializations in Flight Education/Professional Pilot, Air Traffic Control, Aviation Electronics (Avionics), Aviation Management, and Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS).
- Each of these areasof study is specifically designed to meet the requirements that have been approved by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
- Description of Work FAA Certified Airframe & Powerplant Technician responsible to augment and assist in the primary performance of and sign off or recurrent 50-hour inspections, 100 hour inspections, minor unscheduled maintenance and completes the necessary FAA paperwork and Aircraft logbook entries.
- Assist the Director Aviation Maintenance and FAA Certified Airframe & Powerplant Technician as required during high demand maintenance operations with Scheduled, Unscheduled, Preventive Aircraft Maintenance and special projects involving major maintenance and alterations.
