- Reporting to the Manager of the Information Management Team and part of the Metadata and Knowledge Systems Department (MKS), the Taxonomy and Information Architecture Specialist will work with the Information Management Team to provide services in information structure, content description and access, entity management, taxonomy development and ontology management to the Harvard Business School community.
- The Taxonomy and Information Architecture Specialist is responsible for working with stakeholders and customers to develop and maintain metadata, taxonomies and other vocabularies and/or entity lists used at BL and HBS, tagging content with relevant vocabularies, and contributing to the ongoing development of our local ontology and knowledge graph.
- Master’s degree in Library/Information Science, Information Management, Linguistics, or other relevant disciplines and 3 years of applicable work experience in information management, data science, content management, entity management, knowledge graphs, taxonomy, or other metadata work is required.
- BA/BS degree in a relevant area such as Data and Information science, Linguistics, Computer Science, or other relevant disciplines and 4 or more years equivalent experience in information management, data science, content management, entity management, knowledge graphs, taxonomy, or other metadata work is required.
- Experience with tools such as Pool Party and Protégé for taxonomy and ontology management.
