- In this role, you get to interact with multiple stakeholders (firmware/BIOS, SW, IP, DV, system architects) to plan, create, execute, and debug system use cases on emulation/FPGA platforms, in addition to advancing pre-silicon infrastructure to expand validation capabilities.
- THE PERSON: AMD is seeking a senior emulation system engineer who thrives in an environment that requires creative debugging skills, drive to improve pre-silicon system validation coverage capabilities, and a passion for leading a team and improving our overall Shift-Left strategies and goals.
- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible to be the lead engineer to support a small team of emulation engineers Responsible to mentor and help with test and design debug, gather and update status and escalate issues to swim lane managers Responsible in tracking and updating master test plan and to detail issues in JIRA Responsible for supporting engineers to work with Firmware, SOC Design and other Emulation engineers to debug and drive tests to completion.
- PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Experience with FPGA and/or emulation platforms (Veloce, Palladium, ZEBU, HAPs, Protium) Experience developing System Verilog based test content.
