- The Skidmore Summer Pre-College Program offers academically advanced high school students from the US and abroad the opportunity to enroll in undergraduate courses for credit, primarily as residential students.
- The Skidmore Summer Pre-College Health Director is responsible for supervising campusmedical and safety treatment and protocols for the Pre-College Program, assuming the lead role in ensuring the health and wellbeing of the residential high school students, most of whom are minors.
- During the program, the Health Director will: provide on-site first aid; assess ill or injured students and refer to Urgent Care if appropriate; manage and implement emergency preparedness protocols; maintain students confidential medical histories and records; stock and oversee the program first aid kit; maintain a daily medical treatment log and other recordkeeping as needed.
- This position performs administrative functions, works closely with all Pre-College staff, and collaborates with departments such as Campus Safety, Housekeeping, and Facilities Services as needed and/or requested by the Pre-College Program Director.
- This temporary, part-time position requires on-call availability for consultation in the event of an urgent student need/emergency, including evenings/weekends.
