- The purpose of this classification is to supervise, inspect, manage, coordinate implementation, oversee compliance, and assist in retaining the City's NPDES Phase I MS4 permit.
- Work is performed under the general supervision of the Stormwater Utility Manager.
- Coordinates compliance activities for the Phase I Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Program: maintains comprehensive knowledge of state and federal programs and regulations related to watershed management, stormwater, and water quality; coordinates with internal staff and outside entities; monitors and conducts inspection and reporting activities; and prepares and submits the annual MS4 Permit report to Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD).
- Requires a Technical College Diploma/Associates Degree (Bachelor's preferred) in Environmental Science, Chemistry or Biology or related field; three (3) years of experience with implementation of Georgia's Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) permit program; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position
- Level II certification as a Plan Reviewer from Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission is preferred.
