- Responsible for workflow supervision of all activities related to Decontamination, Packaging, Sterilization, Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement in compliance with the departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
- Adheres to best practice by following all regulatory, federal and state recommended practices and guidelines as stated by (but not limited to) AAMI (Association of Advancement of Medical Instrumentation), AORN (Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses), The JC (Joint Commission), CMS (Centers of Medicaid & Medicare), APIC (Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology) and SGNA (Society Gastrointestinal Nurses Association).
- Experience: Minimum of two years’ experience in Sterile Processing if certified, required.
- Minimum of five years' experience in Sterile Processing if not certified, required.
- Licensure/certification: Recognized SPD Certification, required.
