- What You Can ExpectAs our Assistant Stationary Engineer I in Columbus, OH at The Ohio State University, you will be responsible for monitoring and operating all utility plant equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Every day you will monitor and regulate the operation/performance of plant machinery and equipment which may include but not limited to natural gas/oil fired boilers, turbines, emergency diesel generators, chillers, air compressors, pumps, electric motors, fans, piping systems, water treatment and any other equipment related to campus utility systems, and you will report to the Shift Supervisor.
- What You’ll Bring High school diploma or equivalent You must have a State of Ohio Stationary Steam Engineer’s License You will take plant readings, monitoring utility system performance, conducting water testing and making changes as necessary to provide reliable and efficient plant operations; and complete logs and record keeping You will gather information relevant to previous shift and deliver relevant information to oncoming shift.
